The Cast Key is one of the long selling puzzles among Hanayama's Cast Puzzle series. We have created a new version of this puzzle emphasizing style and precision, as PART II. Designed by Otake & Wong. The object is to separate the two keys and then restore them to their initial state. It looks simple, but in fact involves a little trick. Beginners should therefore be careful not to pull them apart by force. Theme: "Key". -Hanayama Co. Ltd.- 2006

It's a nice design and an attractive puzzle, but I have to agree, it's REALLY easy. There aren't any dead ends in this puzzle, so if you are moving the pieces, you're moving towards the solution.

Yes it is simple, also easily damaged. Even the package warns not to force it. It really is a great puzzle though.

I'm pretty shocked to hear that people though this was REALLY easy. It's a fun one that you can pass to your friends and they'll solve it in one sitting- but REALLY easy? No. This might be my favorite Hanayama.

good, but it was REALLY easy. I solved it in three minutes with no help whatsoever. The pieces are moderately difficult to manouver. The 'secret opening' is not really expected...

Great puzzle!! Not too easy, and not so hard as to be impossible. If you want something that will take days to solve, get another one, but this one is very satisfying for an afternoon or a day for the novice puzzle-doer.

EASY. My kids ( 8 and 11) solved it in a few minutes too.

Really easy, even my 7 and 10 year old sons solved it in about 5-10 minutes.
