Back in America's Wild West days, cowboys used any means available to prevent their horses from being stolen. According to legend, one resourceful cowboy had the idea of rigging horseshoes to work as a lock, which served as the origin of this puzzle.

I like the trick to solving this puzzle. In fact, it reminded me of a magic trick - it really does seem like solid passes through solid. Of all the level 2 Hanayama puzzles, I solved this one the fastest. Once you know the move, there's no real replay value, but I am looking forward to stumping my friends with this one.

A classic design and very well made. This puzzle isn't too hard and my kids love it. My son (age 8) stumps some of his friends with this puzzle. He got it apart in 30 seconds, took him longer to get it back together!
