Going, going gone! Homerun! He shoots, he scores! He could, go, all the way. Touchdown! At the buzzer, he goes up for the shot...and he sinks it! A right hand...it's all over, what a shot...he's out cold before he hits the floor. Memorable moments in sports, our double deck of Greatest Sports Stories Playing Cards has them all.

Where were you when...

Underdogs the New York Jets and Joe Namath won Super Bowl III over the Johnny Unitas' Baltimore Colts 16-7 on January 12, 1969. Prior to the Jets' victory the American Football League was considered to be minor league and a joke. The AFL was the fourth league to challenge the NFL. The first three died but the AFL had network TV money behind them. In the third championship game the 11-3 Jets met the 13-1 Colts. Before the game Namath predicted, "We're going to win this game. I guarantee it." Namath went on to be named the game's MVP. The game is regarded as one of the greatest upsets in sports history.

And who can forget The Fight of the Century.

Mohammed Ali loses to Joe Frazer in "The Fight of the Century" on March 8, 1971 in one of the most eagerly anticipated of all time. Each fighter was guaranteed $2.5 million, a record for a prizefight. The fight lived up to its hype with Frazier flooring Ali with a hard left hook in the 15th and final round. Frazier retained his world heavyweight title with a unanimous decision dealing Ali with his first professional loss. Ali would not win another world title fight until three and a half years later. Ali and Frazier fought twice more with Ali winning both, the last of these was the 1975 "Thrilla in Manilla," a bout that is often ranked as one of the greatest in the 20th century.

Recount the "the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat" with our 108 Greatest Sports Stories Playing Cards. A great gift for any sports lover.
