In the period of around 50 BC, Julius Caesar helped Cleopatra (Ptolemaic Queen) to fight a civil war against her teenaged brother Ptolemy. Soon Roman troops were all over Egypt. But Caesar went back to Rome and also took Cleopatra with him. Julius Caesar was assassinated in Rome in 44 BC, Cleopatra returned to Egypt with another Roman leader, Mark Anthony.
