Players are challenged to create closed loops of color using the 10 color-coded Tantrix tiles. The first three tiles are numbered in yellow on the back of the tile. Create a yellow loop. Add tile #4 into play, numbered in red, and create a red loop. The more tiles or packs of tiles added into play, the more challenging Tantrix becomes.

This may be one of the great puzzles of the 20th century. The restrictions of color matching and topology make it difficult but not impossible, and very satisfying. Although you will have fun with the first ten pieces, Tantrix gets better as you add more tiles. I have completed loops to #19 in the Tantrix Game Pack (Puzzle Master really should sell this) and come back from time to time to try to complete the next level. Two players can play strategy games, though I have never played them. One of my absolute favorite puzzles and very highly recommended.
