Product Info

Made from sturdy wire with a nickel plated finish, it can withstand a strong force, although it’s not needed to actually solve the puzzle. The goal of the Sidewinder is to remove the red string from the wire frame and then to put it back as it were. With a mix of string and wire, the puzzle is extremely difficult to solve, since it requires a sequence of complex moves to free the string. Solving this puzzle, however, is very rewarding, leaving you with a real sense of accomplishment. The Sidewinder is from our own brand of wire puzzles and comes in a reusable clam shell packaging, ideal for storage.

This puzzle is really difficult. I had my eye on it for a very long time! I finally decided to buy it for Christmas, together with 2 other puzzles. I left this one for dessert. I managed to take the string out relatively fast. I first freed it from one of the 4 places it passes, then another one on the same half, and then did the similar steps for the other half of the puzzle. However, without paying exact attention or without knowing for sure what's going on (how the string can pass through each hole) the reverse solution - putting it back on its initial place - is much more difficult. Taking it apart is level 8, but putting it back is level 12 in my opinion. It is not just mind-boggling, it is mind-melting as well. I recommend it to puzzle lovers, who want a really great challenge! If you can logically solve it, then you are a genius/mastermind! Overall - magnificent piece of work!
