The idea of making (laser-cut?) structures from the flat is great, but this departs so much from reality that it's very distressing to a lifetime (I'm 75) steam enthusiast (and the son of one, as well). Strombecker made some superb (and simple) wooden models many years ago that respected historical accuracy. I built many a akid. Principal problem with this is that there are no cylinders!
At least, the design doesn't commit the cardinal sin of attaching the connecting rods to the centers of the driving wheels.
Then, I should get a life, and enjoy it as a piece of pure fantasy, with only hints of reality regarding the running gear.
I love Puzzle Master (who seems to bo one supplier for a store in Brookline, Mass.).
