Cast Marble
Object: Diassemble the Pieces Difficulty: Level 8 - Demanding Brand: Hanayama Type: Hanayama Metal Puzzles Dimensions: 1 2/5 in x 1 2/5 in x 1 in / 3.6 cm x 3.6 cm x 2.5 cm
This puzzle has such a beautiful shape that it could easily be mistaken for a piece of jewelry. Its surface features extremely unusual cuts; actually, this marble is a puzzle that can be broken up into 4 pieces. This advanced design is the creation of Bram & Oskar. If you succeed in breaking up the marble, carefully examine the surface of the sections of each piece. The theme of this puzzle is "Sphere."

Very satisfying and surprising movement. I overthought it and had more trouble than I should have. Medium difficulty. Kind of like a Vesa Timonen, but was evidently designed by Oskar von Deventer and Bram Cohen. Nice looking puzzle, too. One of my favorites.

This puzzle is easier to take apart than put together. I found that it is possible to take it apart and not realize exactly what happened. Then you spend much time trying to put it back together until the elegant move is discovered. One of the very best Hanayamas.

This puzzle is just a bit too small. Since it is so well made, it is very slippery in the hands, and as such it is also a bit of a dexterity puzzle, especially getting it back together again.
I find it much harder to get back together than to take it apart, which is not usually the case with most of the Hanayama puzzles.
