This is a puzzle very similar to the classic Tangram Puzzle. Here we have 10 pieces that form the basic shape of a circle;whereas with the Tangram we have 7 pieces toform the basic shape of a square..This puzzle comes in a metal case with cards showing 7 shapes, silhouettes or puzzles to construct.Solutions are provided on the back of the cards. The pieces are magnetic .The only advantage is that they "stick" in place or when travelling.I suppose they can also be placed on a fridge door.
This is certainly not a new puzzle. It was first sold in Germany and other European countries in 1891 and was called The Circle Puzzle" or in German "Kreistratsel". 7 is a small number of puzzles for this type of puzzle .If you want additional challenges or puzzles you will find many more in "The Anchor Puzzle Book" by Jerry slocum & Dieter Gebhardt.Thye manufacturer also make other similar puzzles;"Eggsasperation",basic shape of an egg,and X-cruciation,basic shape of a cross.
