I have this ring but in 22K Solid Gold which has been passed down from generations. Bought in the middle east this design piece has HISTORY. It would be given to a wife by her husband when he would go away from home for work etc. If when he returned home the puzzle ring was apart (not together) he would know she had taken it off, therefore been unfaithful to him in his absence.
