A puzzle jug is a puzzle in the form of a jug or cup that was popular in the 18th and 19th centuries. These jugs or cups challenge the drinker to consume the contents without spilling them, which is impossible to do conventionally because of the perforations in them. They have also been known as "tavern joke jugs", which provided challenge and amusement for friends and spectators alike. These vessels make unique and entertaining gifts!
This particular jug is a reproduction of a traditional puzzle vessel made in Czech Republic and Germany between 1850-1920. Peter Hajek is the designer - he presented this vessel to the puzzle community at the International Puzzle Party 2008 held in Prague.
