Note: Our level rating system is different than Hanayama's.  Hanayama's level 1 is equivalent to our level 5.... level 6 is equivalent to our level 10.

This puzzle is based on an original called the 'Puzzle Ring'. Popularized in 15th century Europe, this ring style was actually used for official engagement and marriage rings. Christian reformist, Martin Luther, was even known to wear one. It is rumored to prove as evidence of its wearer's adultery...when it comes apart into pieces. That's quite a history contained in this little puzzle.

This is one of my favorite Hanayama puzzles. It is not too hard, probably around a level 6 out of 10, and it is gorgeous. I wish I could get a bracelet just like it. It's the basic puzzle ring style. Once you solve this one, you can solve many multi-band rings. I bought one for display and one to play with on the coffee table. It's a classic like the horseshoe tavern puzzle! Everyone wants to try it!

Not a real fan of this one: the puzzle is far too easy for this level and can be solved really quick only by doing random moves, it does not have the size of a ring you would expect and finally it is not stable at all in solving state, and does not look nice on a shelf.

There are several types of puzzles and this is of that kind which requires more work when assembling. A nice puzzle and a genuine authenticity and originality.

It's a fine puzzle. Just doesn't appeal to me. I unboxed it, took it apart, and wasn't particularly motivated to figure out how to reassemble it. So I downloaded the solution.

this is my favorite puzzle in the whole world because of it's easy once you figure it out but you need to look at it from a different angle.

It's an old puzzle, being widespread around the world (It's called Turkish Wedding ring some places, in Hungary an university gives such a ring to graduates, and so on), but Hanayama made it worth buying. The material is very smooth and durable, it also looks great asembled. It has a tendency of falling apart easily, so you'd better learn the solution before you put it in a bag for example (where it WILL fall apart). However, the solution is quite simple to learn and fast to execute, but it is much more harder to find it. It's also possible to assemble it the trial-and-error method, but it takes ages (and requires at least 3, but rather 4 hands).

This is a nice puzzle. It's not easy to assemble...even after cheating I still had a hard time.

I bought this because I love challenges. It was for an hour and a half. It fell into "put me back the way you got me mode"when I un-did the twist ties. The challenge was on. I absolutly recommend this one. I did not get the finger sized one, I got the bigger one that will fit on a babys wrist. If your up for a challenge, I think you will love this one
