This Karakuri box draws inspiration from a ringed planet. The objective is to open the box, but the ring cleverly obstructs access. No force is needed—just careful thought and observation.
Originally released in 2017, this updated version features improvements to both its internal structure and the display base.
The ring's wood grain has been meticulously arranged for visual harmony. Six segments, joined from a single board, form a smooth, continuous ring. Viewed from a direct horizontal angle, the craftsmanship truly shines.
Karakuri Creation Group is known for its exquisite puzzle boxes, blending inventive mechanisms with refined artistry. The woodworking traditions of Hakone and Odawara—passed down since the Edo era—live on in each piece. Today's craftsmen carry these skills forward, creating fresh, high-quality works that continue to push the boundaries of the Karakuri box. A beautiful keepsake and a joy to solve.
Comes packaged in a cardboard gift box and includes a solution.
