This beautiful Japanese puzzle box requires 7 steps in order to open it. Even with the number of moves, it is reasonably easy to open. The box is handmade in Japan and features a Koyosegi pattern on the top and bottom and the sides of the box are made of walnut.
** Japanese wood mosaic is called "Yosegi" (Koyosegi). It is manufactured in Odawara,Hakone JAPAN. Natural colored wood materials are assembled together into a board with a beautiful mosaic pattern, and sheets of this board are pasted onto boxes for decoration. There are approximately 60 different mosaic patterns.
The "sun" in the name is a Japanese form of measurement. Each "sun" is approximately 3 centimetres in box length. Because of the hand-made nature of the box, the picture or pattern may have slight variations.
