Box is not a 9; for a new puzzler, I'd put it at a 7 and for an experienced puzzler - especially if you've solved a lot of JCC's boxes, I'd make it a 5 (let's just say the locking mechanism is a variation of a theme visited by JCC multiple times). I say this because the solution is linear and can be brute forced without spending a lot of time on trial-and-error. The space inside the box is decent - roughly 2"x2"x1" - but putting anything in there runs the risk of interfering with the lock, so consider yourself warned. Overall, a decent puzzle for beginners and a disappointment for experienced puzzlers.
