This is a set of 14 different puzzle pieces. The pieces can be combined to form 6-piece burr shapes (shaped like a cross - two parallel pieces for each of the three axes). 13 pieces means that many different puzzles are possible.
Made in two different woods by Jean-Claude Constantin. Jean-Claude Constantin lives in Germany, where he designs and manufactures many different wood and metal puzzles, as well as magic tricks.

Sturdy wood, similar in size to the old "Charles Ebert Collection" burr puzzles. Thirteen pieces, no two alike, but 3 mirror images. They could have sanded the pieces a little better, which is why I gave it a 4. There are no suggestions or hints for building 6-piece burr puzzles from this collection, so it's up to you to build what you can. The pieces can be seen in Stewart Coffin's book, "The Puzzling World of Polyhedral Dissections," page 59. This "Boite 13" box contains 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 12, 14, 15, 17, 21, 22, 23, of Coffin's "25 notchable pieces." Using 6 of the pieces, and *not* the unnotched piece, I was able to build Coffin's Burr #305. This box is a lot of fun.
