Made from solid metal, this Trick Lock is more complex than it appears, and unlike regular locks, a key is not the only answer. The hidden mechanism is deceiving and requires a more careful inspection to unlock it.
These locks are hand made, there are slight variations in each lock. These are replicas of ancient Indian locks. They are made to look old but are brand new.

I love, love, love this lock puzzle, however, I had to take a star away because I have to use a screwdriver and hammer to solve it! Because of how tightly the metal fits together in a couple of places, it was impossible to move the parts with just my hands. Even after adding additional 3 in 1 oil, things still don't move without some outside force. Nevertheless, it is a very fun solve...just trust your gut. If you think something should move, it probably should, and don't be afraid to use the necessary force!
Actual rating: 6 stars out of 5. This lock is amazing. The craftsmanship is superb, it looks genuinely antique. The detailing on the emblems themselves are intricate and well done. Fidgeting around with this puzzle, discovering the moving pieces, and how these pieces work was one of the coolest things I've done in the world of puzzles. Super satisfying to solve. And because it's so nicely made, it makes a great show piece for on the shelf. The puzzle itself took me an hour ish to complete, and a co worker about 45 minutes, to give you a rough idea. Highly recommended!
