The Schloss 55 is a sliding piece puzzle in the shape of a lock, which uses discs that can move in one way only. Some only horizontally, others only vertically, guided by grooves in the front and back side of the puzzle. Your objective is to figure out how to open the lock! A perplexing and unique puzzle idea!
Designed by Hajime Katsumoto, who is well known since IPP36 (International Puzzle Party) that was hosted in Kyoto, Japan.
Made in laser-cut wood, acrylic, and stainless steel by Jean-Claude Constantin. Jean-Claude Constantin lives in Germany, where he designs and manufactures many different wood and metal puzzles, as well as magic tricks and other intellectual toys and games.

The puzzle is nicely crafted and has beautiful colors.
However, and this is the reason for the 2/5 rating, it is easy. Very easy. Much too simple to deserve the 9/10 difficulty rating it currently has. I am not a puzzle expert and the puzzle took me around 6 minutes. I think it deserves a 6/10 difficulty rating.
If it had been sold with a 6/10 difficulty rating, I would have given it 4 stars (1 star deducted because it would have been expensive for a 6/10 puzzle).
