Test your skills with the 20 Lock, a thoughtfully engineered 3D‑printed burr‑style puzzle from Canadian designer Dan Fast. As the most approachable puzzle in his celebrated lock series, the 20 Lock requires 20 precise moves to “unlock” the mechanism—making it an excellent entry point for newcomers while still offering plenty of satisfying complexity.

To solve it, you’ll need to free the interlocking burr sticks in the correct sequence, gradually loosening the structure until the shackle finally releases. It’s a delightful mechanical dance of sliding, shifting, and discovering how each piece interacts with the others. Of course, reassembly is usually the most challenging part of the puzzle.
