Product Info

A brilliantly designed puzzle box made entirely from 3d printed parts!

The phases of the moon wax and wane through the patterns of this puzzle. Slide your way to reveal the clue for the second puzzle on the bottom of the box.  Even with the clue, the second puzzle is quite tough!  You will see that the botttom of the puzzle has a recessed rotating dial.

The puzzle requires several steps to open, and when you have puzzled it out, you can open the prize compartment, which fits 2 standard sized dice.

The beautiful black color accents the phases of the moon that are displayed on the box.

I will try not to spoil the exact steps, but there are two main parts to this puzzle's semi-disappointing solve. The first is perfectly fine and is mainly as you see, but the second is very finicky and also made little sense given the clues + very little tactile feedback. Granted, I'm not great with riddle/symbolism-esque puzzles, so I'm sure there's some logic behind the clue interpretation, but myself and others (including Mr. Puzzle himself) came upon the final solution through guided accident and previous knowledge of a certain type of mechanism. I think the puzzle as a concept is great, but the execution is not great. Not only in guidance, but in printing quality as well. Lots of piece warping, as well as stray filament clumps in various areas. I'm still new at 3D printing, and I know that I could get a more quality print. All in all, good concept, but poor quality and overpriced.
