Product Info

Note: Our level rating system is different than Hanayama's.  Hanayama's level 1 is equivalent to our level 5.... level 6 is equivalent to our level 10.

This puzzle has such a beautiful shape that it could easily be mistaken for a piece of jewelry.  Its surface features extremely unusual cuts; actually, this marble is a puzzle that can be broken up into 4 pieces.  This advanced design is the creation of Bram & Oskar. If you succeed in breaking up the marble, carefully examine the surface of the sections of each piece. The theme of this puzzle is "Sphere."

A very easy puzzle to do, but not easy to figure out. Putting together is harder than taking apart however after doing the puzzle twice it can be scrambled, solved, and put back together in under 10 seconds. Figuring out the puzzle the first time took me 12 min to take apart and almost 30 to put together. This puzzle also looks great on a shelf.

One of the most beautiful puzzles. Nice to hold and twist. The only negative is that I solved this puzzle very quickly. Disassembled in 5 minutes, assembled in 15. I would like to tinker a little more because holding this thing in your hands is a pleasure! )) I definitely recommend it!

Another nice pocket puzzle to carry around, Somewhat difficult to solve. Interesting design and solution along with putting it back together.

This puzzle is beautiful in every way. Physically it's beautiful, playing with it is a great experience and the solution is also beautiful (even if it's not too hard). I lost this puzzle once and I had to buy it again and then I saw a collection of Hanayama puzzles that had this puzzle and I was even more motivated to buy the collection because of it. This is also the puzzle I recommend to people who are new at this sort of puzzles

One of the most beautiful puzzles I have and I have over a hundred. It isn't only beautifully constructed, but the solution/mechanism is the best part, I have recommended it before and I will do it again.

It's a very clever puzzle, and definitely seems hard the first time you pick it up. This was my fist cast puzzle, and I think served its job of introducing me to puzzling very well. Though, I think it it easier than level eights.

A neat concept and a very cool looking puzzle! Would be a perfect gift for someone who is into geometry. The way the case is shaped creates a great red herring, and I fell for it completely. When I got the puzzle apart I was mentally on the wrong track, and didn't carefully observe how it opened. I spent days trying to reverse what I *thought* I had done - very frustrating. I finally realized I had fooled myself, and tried a different approach. Finding the real solution makes for a very pretty surprise.

Love the looks of this one, not very difficult though to disassemble, putting it back together was a different story, much much easier if you set the pieces down on something.

Another beautiful Hanayama puzzle, which I found rather difficult until I realized how easy it was to disassemble and reassemble. Lovely, solid piece with smooth movements. Seems a bit easy for a level 8 puzzle, but your mileage may vary. I suppose it's only hindsight that makes me think this should be rated 7 rather than 8; it sure seemed like an 8 when I first started working on it!

It took me a few minutes to understand the idea and some time to find the way to disassemble it. Putting it back together is trivial, like putting back together Cast News or Rattle for example. I think the level of the puzzle is proper. Additionally, there is some kind of a "hint" to the solution on the box of the puzzle. But one might not understand it, unless they are concentrated (and eventually know the solution already).

Marble is the one cast puzzle that taught me how important it is to carefully observe how you take a puzzle apart in order to be able to reassemble it. Definitely on my Top 5 list of Hanayamas.

This is one of my favorites so far, it's not that hard and is amazingly well built. There's actually a 'solution' to this one that makes sense and it just feels great in the hands.

The trick of this puzzle is very clever indeed. However, I don't think you can disassemble it (the first time) in any kind of methodical way - you just fiddle, roll, and jiggle it until it starts to break apart. It seems like there's simply not enough information available to guide your intuition or analysis. Once disassembled, careful examination and some thought will point to the correct reassembly technique, which is really quite beautiful and much more rewarding than the disassembly.

Very satisfying and surprising movement. I overthought it and had more trouble than I should have. Medium difficulty. Kind of like a Vesa Timonen, but was evidently designed by Oskar von Deventer and Bram Cohen. Nice looking puzzle, too. One of my favorites.

This puzzle is easier to take apart than put together. I found that it is possible to take it apart and not realize exactly what happened. Then you spend much time trying to put it back together until the elegant move is discovered. One of the very best Hanayamas.

This puzzle is just a bit too small. Since it is so well made, it is very slippery in the hands, and as such it is also a bit of a dexterity puzzle, especially getting it back together again. I find it much harder to get back together than to take it apart, which is not usually the case with most of the Hanayama puzzles.
