I had a preconceived notion that these might not be great because they weren't expensive and they're plastic. However, I'm really glad that I bought these as they were fun to do and fun to share. I agree with the difficulty rating comparison, with the black being easiest, the blue in middle, then red hardest. Without spoiling anything, the black key is logical progression as you go through the various steps. Before starting the blue one, I didn't see how it could be difficult, but it was a fun one to handle and fiddle with; thinking about it a bit helped with solving it. The red one felt like it was solved by mostly thinking about it and then executing the necessary steps once you have an idea of what was needed. I enjoyed the blue puzzle the most. It felt nice to handle and was a good mix of fidgeting and thinking. I'm happy I picked this set up. These were fun to do and inexpensive enough that I don't mind lending/gifting them to friends and family.
