When the Allard Walker asked Two Brass Monkeys to help with an exchange puzzle for IPP (International Puzzle Party) 2024 in Houston, Texas USA, there was only one obvious theme. With the design team practically on NASA’s doorstep, Astronaughty Monkeys was born.
This set marks the first-ever tray-packing puzzle from Two Brass Monkeys. Its release was timed to coincide with the 75th anniversary of the first mammal spaceflight by Albert II, a rhesus monkey.
Your mission is simple: pack five simian astronauts — three stainless steel monkeys and two brass monkeys — into the four 3D printed trays, each with its own space-themed design.
While the mission sounds simple, "simple" is doing a lot of heavy lifting here. Despite only using five pieces, the puzzle looks incredibly friendly—right up until it isn’t.
The puzzle comes presented in a turquoise sliding-lid tin. (Allard’s exchange versions came in orange, but are otherwise identical.)
These puzzles were manufactured in a single limited batch and will not be remade, making them a must-have collector's item before they are gone for good.
