Crafted by legendary designer Wil Strijbos, the Butterfly Lock Box is a mechanical masterpiece that blends meticulous engineering with unforgiving complexity. Nicknamed “Pleasure and Pain” for good reason, this aluminum and steel beast weighs a hefty 1.5 kg and measures 133 x 90 x 47 mm. It’s not just a puzzle—it’s an experience.

The goal seems straighforward: Turn the small "LOCK" tube over so that it is right-side up and return all other parts to their original positions. Getting there? That’s another story. No force, no banging, no rotation—just pure, deliberate discovery. Every move counts!

This is a collector’s item with teeth—equal parts art, engineering, and mind-bending frustration.  Each puzzle is numbered and stamped with it's name and Wil's signature.  As is usual with Wil's designs, he offers no hints or solutions.  Just the joy of having figured it out yourself...
