The Rubik’s Revenge Cube is made from a hard black plastic. The object of this puzzle is to scramble all 6 sides of the cube and then return it so that each side is only one color. This is a limited release upgrade to the Rubik’s Cube (3x3x3) and is 4 layers deep in all directions with no stationary center, making it quite challenging to solve. The first Rubik’s Cube was patented in 1975 under the name “Magic Cube” and was changed to “Rubik’s Cube” in 1980. Since then, Rubik’s has been designing and producing many puzzles.

The 4x4 is a great step up for people who have done the 3x3 and are looking for a challenge. It's a mean puzzle when you haven't tried an even numbered cube before. They tend to gunk up and get difficult to turn after a few months of use, but are still solvable using some elbow grease.
