Product Info

The PIL Box is a precision 3D-printed packing puzzle designed by Richard Williams and manufactured by P91 Puzzles. This design was featured and available at the IPP43 (International Puzzle Party) in Italy (2026).

The objective of the PIL Box is to fit all 3 unique puzzle pieces entirely inside the main frame. While the task sounds straightforward, the difficulty lies in the frame’s restricted opening. Solvers must carefully figure out the correct sequence, angles, and rotations required to maneuver each piece past the narrow entry constraints. It provides a highly tactile trial-and-error experience that tests spatial logic and geometry.

  •     Designer: Richard Williams
  •     Manufacturer: P91 Puzzles
  •     Availability: IPP43 (Italy, 2026)
  •     Puzzle Type: Packing Puzzle / Restricted Opening
  •     Materials: Premium 3D-printed
  •     Components: 1 frame box, 3 packing pieces

Following previous successful collaborations between Richard Williams and P91 Puzzles (such as the Dovetail Bar series), the PIL Box continues a reputation for clean, durable 3D-printed constructions that focus on tight tolerances and clever structural restrictions.
