The chess box is a trick box by Jean Claude Constantin. There are 11 metal chess pieces that can be moved through the slotted grooves on the top of the box. The objective is to open the drawer. The chess box is a very elaborately manufactured trick box that is an absolute eye-catcher in every collection.
Puzzle boxes are a fantastic way to confound your friends and hide your treasures, and a beautiful show of working artistry!

This puzzle is way too easy and not all that gratifying to solve. Once you understand the concept it's just about fidgeting to get it right and to open it. Not worth the large sum of money it costs.
Good puzzle, good construction. I did not find the challenge satisfying to the tune of $230
I buyed this Chess Puzzle Box From Puzzle master I just loveded another master piece of Jean Claude Constantine Not only look good but enjoy to solve 🙂
First time I saw the chess puzzle box for sale I was immediately drawn to it. Regrettably I didn't pull the trigger on purchasing and then BOOM sold out... After signing up for a email alert when back in stock I purchased soon as it became available again, and glad I did. It's a beautiful well made puzzle box with good weight and feel to it. It's now a display piece in my home and people are automatically drawn to it and ask if the can check it out. It definitely has an old antique look and feel to it. Very happy with this purchase.
