This is one of tougher Level 7 puzzles I've tried and own. It seems like certain parts of the puzzle are "obvious" but they're not. I was given one hint, and even though it made sense, it still took me 25 minutes to solve it. It took even longer for me to get it back to starting position. Like almost all Hanayama puzzles, the pieces are sturdy and feel good in the hands. This is a puzzle that I can come back to again and again and probably not remember the whole solution, so it will be discovery all over again (getting old is wonderful!).
I had a really great time solving this one. The first time I wasn’t really paying close attention and just happened upon the solution. Once I got it back I kept having problems re-solving it. It has a great “trap” designed into it. Once I figured out the real pathway I regained my confidence. Lots of fun, I’m glad Yuu Asaka branched out into the non packing puzzle world.
Perfectly rated at a 3/6 difficulty. The puzzle pieces themselves are lovely, both the silver disc and the golden rings, and everything moves smoothly - no real force is ever necessary. A fun puzzle to solve.... and then to re-solve yet again, because it feels good.
