Product Description
Note: Our level rating system is different than Hanayama's. Hanayama's level 1 is equivalent to our level 5.... level 6 is equivalent to our level 10.
The design is evocative of a sturdy padlock. Just pick it up and you’ll quickly gain an appreciation for the challenge that lies ahead - this puzzle will not open easily!
The interior is comprised of two elliptical pieces, locked together tightly around the circular pieces and obstinately refusing to be released. But don’t give up! Repeatedly separate and then put them back together and prove you have what it takes to unlock this riddle.
The theme is “obstinacy.”
Designed by Korean designer JinHoo Ahn.

Nice Challenge
I love this puzzle. I own over 40 puzzles and this one is in my top 3. It took me closed to 45 minutes to take it appart the first time and another 30-45 minutes to reassemble. I love the simplicity and yet how hard it is to take it appart until you understand what you are doing. After the 3rd time I took it appart I started to really understand the steps and why I was doing it. Reassembling is almost more diffucult than taking it appart. Sometime you feel like you're going in the right direction and "bang" you're back to square one. Nice addition your collection I definitely recommend it.
Awesome puzzle! This one is relatively easy for a level 5 puzzle to solve one or two times, but understanding it is an entirely different matter. With this in mind, I actually believe it should be a level 6 (or 10 on this rating scale). I think what many people forget is that you haven't fully assembled it until both shackles have the cut-out area showing, so they just slide it together and think it's done. Not so! The full solution is very long and complicated, and very fulfilling once you finally figure out the secret. An extremely boggling, tough puzzle that requires a lot of analysis. Highly recommended!
One of my most favorite cast puzzles! Idea, design, solution, difficulty - all get excellent marks from me. I recommend it to every puzzle-lover. :)
This one almost broke me. I came very close to looking up the solution but I ended up solving it by accident while fiddling with it without looking and from there it was easy to reassemble and solve again. It's the same as all the Hanayama puzzles where even if you're on the right track you have to get everything aligned perfectly to actually solve it.
i got one that was made wrong and impossible to solve i noticed how on the box the puzzle was diffrent then i was suspicious so i looked up a tutorial turns out my one is impossible to solve cuz it was built wrong
Awesome little puzzle, Nothing is hidden, all you need to solve this is easily visible from the start. But it might take you hours to find the first correct move. Feels great in your hands, like a fidget spinner for your brain.
If you like a puzzle with a complex solution, this one will leave you with a "Is that it?" feeling. If you want a moderate challenge with a quick and direct answer, this is probably the one for you. Has a nice weight, look, and feel. I think the difficulty rating should be at least one level lower, maybe two.
amazing~~!!!
This puzzle is much trickier than it appears! It took me ~5 hours to get it apart, but I honestly had no idea how I did it. Putting it back together is incredibly easy and smooth, but even though I was able to solve it and put it back together fairly easily after that I really didn't understand the movements involved at all! I would keep getting stuck in a loop until the pieces mysteriously went to the next step. From there I had to open it 4-5 more times before I really understood what I needed to be doing to get the pieces where I wanted. Let me finish by saying this puzzle is amazing! The movements are so subtle and slick its very possible to solve it by chance as I did; but understanding how the puzzle truly works is another puzzle in and of itself!
