Product Info

Made of sturdy blue anodized metal, the Lattice Puzzle is made up of 8 interlocking pieces. This brawny puzzle is surely a handful, quite literally of course, but also to solve.  If you are clever enough to disassemble this unique puzzle, the real challenge begins when you must put it back together!

Original design by Jerry Loo and part of the Puzzle Master metal collection.

Really intense little puzzle. Disassembly is very easy (IMHO), but reassembly is a whole different animal. Take notes and/or pics as you disassemble or you could be on for a long frustrating reassembly process. An error at the start can not crop up til you try to place the last piece. Very different from Dirty Dozen, both are great, but this one is definitely a level up (again, IMHO). Highly recommend.

Very good puzzle, and a really attractive color. Similar visually to Dirty Dozen, but a different assembly/disassembly technique. Also makes an excellent fidget toy when assembled. I do have one complaint: there are two ways to assemble this puzzle so that it forms the original shape, but one of them is a false build... it holds together sitting on a table, but is incredibly easy to take apart in this state, it nearly falls apart with minimal manipulation. I don't know what would need to be done to prevent this false build (plus that would mean a design revision, of course), but it would be far more satisfying if it could only form the properly solved state. [mild spoiler: To avoid this false build, the piece inserted last should have the two most shallow cuts.] Also, the official "solution" video from this site is nearly impossible to follow due to poor execution and is in fact, assembly of the false build. Hopefully Puzzle Master will pull it and put up a corrected solution. (This review posted in December 2023) It's because of this false build that I'm only giving this four stars. In every other way, this is an excellent piece.

This is a difficult puzzle! There is a solution that comes together from an apparently random scattering of the pieces on a surface, and can be performed behind a hand for a moderate attempt at a “magic” solution.

Another display piece worthy of admiration. This is quite a difficult puzzle. It can be solved without using force, so put away the pliers and mallets. It took me quite a few attempts, spread over a few weeks. Like the other metal puzzles by Puzzle Master, this is heavy enough to use as a decorative paperweight. It is beautifully crafted and feels so good as a fidget toy.
