Product Info
Explore a new stellar world of puzzle solving with the Cast Planet metal puzzle, a stunning and intricate brain teaser that will put your problem solving skills to the test. This 3D puzzle from Hanayama Huzzle is designed to resemble a miniature planet, with intricate details and a sturdy metal construction. With no instructions or obvious solution, you'll need to use your wits to figure out how to assemble it.
Your intergalactic mission is to separate the planet from its ring. The ball has rugged projections and the ring has interesting notches. It is essentially a maze puzzle that is solved by rolling the sphere until you can separate it from the ring. Then you can reassemble it to its attractive starting position. This is one that I did not cheat and download the solution for. That being said, some of the written solutions for other Hanayama puzzles are almost impossible to follow, or have grave errors in them. Take the Trinity solution. Why not just label the pieces and forget shading to delineate which piece one is dealing with? But Planet is a fun puzzle that will reward you if you spend a little time really looking at the protuberances. I just played with it until I lucked out at the solution, which made perfect sense after the fact. Fun puzzle. My favorites in line of difficulty include Hourglass, Vortex, Equa, Rotor, Enigma. (I hate UFO and Ring II, the only ones.)
