Product Info
This version of the Cassiopeia is simply a smaller and more economical version of the original that was roughly twice the size. Although this box has only a few moves to open it, you will need to puzzle out the clue that is provided with the constellation dots on the top of the box.
The inside of the box measures 6 cm x 6.6 cm x 1.8 cm.

Mixed feelings about this box. Rating of 6 is accurate. Box is attractive and has a tiny amount of usable storage space relative to the box's size. One of the most novel locking mechanisms you will ever encounter. But I have two issues with it: first, like many Japanese puzzle boxes, this one has unfinished wood internals and despite living in a climate-controlled environment its entire life with desiccant packs stored in it, the box has experienced significant warp and will soon be a paperweight. If you have experience with Japanese puzzle boxes, you know what I mean. Second, the solution requires esoteric outside knowledge (yes, I'm being intentionally vague) meaning, for someone not in the know, it becomes a brute-force exercise, which completely eliminates the satisfaction of discovering the solution and why it works. Overall, a genuinely novel concept, but flawed in execution. YMMV.
