Product Info

A challenging & beautiful box which is reminiscent of the southwestern US Adobe Pueblo dwellings built into caves; hence the name.  You must align the 5 side arms to the correct position in order to allow the cover to slide off.   The arms slide left and right. Each arm has 10 possible positions so the number of possible combinations of positions is quite large (10 x 9 x 8 x 7 x 6  = 30,240).   A typical solution time is 30 to 40 minutes.  Occasionally done faster, but more often than not people give up and look at the solution.

The box is made from an attractive 1/4" thick floorboard material and the arms are wood; either Alder or Cherry.  The sides and bottom are all jointed which gives both a super solid construction and a nice visual image.  Inside, there is a felt liner the bottom of the box.
Measures about 5.5" x 3.5" x 3.2" high on the outside.

Designed by Bob Nolet and Dave Janelle and made in Spring Hill, Florida.

Too many possibilities and it does not involve brain work, juste trial and error. You could give it to a young kid 9 or 10 yrs old, and tell him that the magic number to solve it is 32,195 and let him find out the rest.

Took 5 minutes to figure out, definitely not a level 8.. That being said, it was still pretty fun to solve, although it's pricy for the time spent on it.

An excellent little puzzle box for storing a secondary gift in. Only took me a minute or so to figure out a trick to open it which I was a little disappointed in, but assuming someone doesn't figure out said trick they're in for a challenge. The box itself is very well made and overall it's worth the price.
