Wow! Great puzzle. I would estimate it took me 3-4 hrs to take apart, and about 90 seconds to reassemble. Take note of the positioning of pieces as you disassemble, and take pics if possible. There is no force required to solve and the solution is elegant. Disregard the online review that indicates that significant force is needed. I'm sure you could muscle pieces around to get it to disassemble, but seasoned Hanayama puzzlers should know that isn't correct. This is the hardest level 6 I've solved. Past level 6 victories include: Quartet, NEWS, Infinity, and Chain (I feel Equa should be included, but it's a 5). Enigma and Vortex are next up. I highly recommend this puzzle. Very precise movements are required. I had the pieces in every possible disassembly position several times before I finally had things aligned. Don't give up. It can be done! Happy Puzzling!!
Bought this puzzle and solved it in less than an hour haven't done one of these in years and found this one at Walmart and I will probably be returning to find a new one that is hopefully more challenging.
This puzzle is very well made and you won’t be disappointed. It definitely kept me busy for a few days until I was able to solve it. I would say it’s a little harder than Quartet.
Was great item took several hours to solve would recommend if looking for a good challange
great puzzle. took 1 year to solve
I have this since the summer. I've tried to solve it so many times, then let it stay on the shelves. Then I attempted to solve it many more times. Eventually, weeks later, I found the way. And then put it back in a different order/orientation of the pieces. The solution follows the same pattern, no matter how you put the pieces together, but it is very difficult to imagine how they should be aligned when starting assembling them, so that you get the initial positions of the pieces to each other. I absolutely love this one. It is as difficult as Quartet, Vortex, and Equa which, for me, are the most difficult from the series.
An excellent puzzle, with a very solid feel. It reminds me a bit of the Vortex puzzle - both have three similar but not identical intertwingled pieces that need to be untangled. I found it to be quite difficult to solve, again similar to the Vortex. Definitely easier than some other Hanayama puzzles (I think the Quartet and Enigma puzzles may have given me brain damage) but hard enough that the high difficulty level assigned to it by Hanayama seems appropriate. A worth addition to any puzzler's collection.
This puzzle is one tough cookie! Took me around 4-5 hours to solve the first time (and I have solved other hard puzzles before, such as vortex and quartet) and was VERY frustrating to put back together. It was fairly simple to entangle all three pieces but they would always be turned around the wrong way, resulting in me having to disassemble what I just did and then reassemble it again in a different way. This happened many times before I finally stopped and analyzed it. After that I saw the correct way to do it but even then it was not simple whatsoever; many moves and positions were still quite difficult to find. Definitely worth adding to your collection! It's very hard, has an elegant solution, and is highly rewarding once you master it.
It's a very good puzzle. I needed several days to solve it. Recommended.item.
