Product Info

The aluminum cross is the first puzzle that Dutch designer Wil Strijbos created in the 1980's.  It's design is still as unique and captivating as when he first created it almost 40 years ago.

This puzzle is not like other puzzles you may have seen before... It is difficult to take apart, but even more to put together.  Even when you have seen how the pieces are constructed, it is not obvious how to reassemble it.

Materials: A high-quality product made from precision machined polished Aluminium. The puzzle is engraved with Wil's signature so you know it's an original. This current manufactured batch has brass end pins which are different from the steel pins Wil previously used in the puzzle.

Smaller than I thought, but solid and heavy - you could do some serious damage if you threw it at someone. Very satisfying too solve, including at least one "Aha!" moment for a hidden mechanism. Difficult level of 8 is about right. Definitely worth the money.

I finally received this puzzle and was super excited to have it in my hands. It feels solid and is made exceptionally well. The puzzle has a nice weight to it as well. I started this puzzle one night and it took me roughly only a few hours to solve. Getting it back together was a little more difficult but I ended up figuring out the mechanisms inside. Great puzzle and I do recommend. Not as difficult as I thought but it was very fun nonetheless.

This was probably one of the most satisfying puzzles I've ever solved. I was stuck on it for a few days but finally figured it out tonight. I think the description is a little wrong as I had basically no difficulty putting it back together compared to how long it took me to get it apart. The one I received has some scratches and even one of the corners is a little dented in, but it didn't bother me enough to return it. Overall I loved this one and I'm looking forward to buying more from this designer.
